Genevieve Becomes a Category 5 Hurricane, Not Currently Expected to Make Landfall

Genevieve became a Category 5 hurricane early Monday, the first in the East Pacific region in two years, forecasters said. Farther out in the Pacific, Hurricane Fausto continued on a path in the direction of the Hawaiian Islands.
